Welcome
What drives us to do anything? Is it an inner revelation that something needs to change? A different result needs to occur? A new beginning is waiting to be born? Sharing my life with you to encourage vitality and openness is my hope. I feel your heart beat and hear your inner voice as you ask, “Isn’t there more?”
Seeing so many lives changed through the simple act of listening and hearing your hearts speak has changed me forever. To hear your voice changes everything for us. Do you hear, I mean really hear?
Under a full head of steam the locomotive thunders ever closer toward you; your car is dead on the tracks. Your stuck seatbelt won’t let you go as you hear the scream of the whistle; the thundering roar of eminent danger. Dead on the tracks, the headlines race through your brain! Dead on The Tracks!
Wide-eyed with terror, you struggle to free yourself before impact. Your nightmare abruptly ends leaving you in a cold sweat. Relief barely describes your feelings as you’re now fully awake and aware. Reflecting, you realize that this surge of energy was just a bad dream. You realize you heard the sounds of impending danger. You heard its voice. You listened and didn’t say a word. Wow! Wasn’t that an incredibly bad dream?
Glad to have it behind you now! But, is there a lesson here? Could it be that you cannot hear if you don’t listen? Maybe that’s it. Listening is important, hearing is more important.
You heard the voice of the massive locomotive racing toward you and you heard its voice. In real life we hear best when we ask others what’s cookin vs. telling them what’s cookin. So often we feel compelled to tell others what to do to fix life and business issues. Would it be better if we asked a question to understand more deeply where they are and their life challenges? Certainly that would help them more and it would help us understand others better. Also, listening and hearing will accelerate us along paths of becoming who we are destined to be. So much more important to become than to sink into the doer’s world. Oh, don’t get me wrong; doing is important. In fact if we don’t do, we die. But, let’s be becomers first, then what to do and when to do it may make more sense. More on that later, but for now ask more, tell less. This helps us avoid the train crash that becomes the derailer of relationships and desired results; leading to our destiny with positive results.
Woven throughout this journey are real life stories that mirror your experiences that hopefully will illuminate life points to experiencing greater joy in your relationships. Asking precedes telling. Asking illuminates; telling first…darkens the path. Can you imagine telling God what to do? Do you think that God would respond more favorably if we ask first? I think so. Ask, seek and knock. The root questions – Where are you now? Where do you want to be? What’s holding you back? How do you move forward and how will you measure the results? You will answer these questions and more in our discovery. Most importantly, you will discover the beauty of your inner strength and whom you are becoming. Let the bright light shine.
Ben
