How much fun and laughter when I was included in the pool game Marco, Polo that so many of us are familiar. Last night Ian and I were swimming in the Hampton Inn , Marion, NC pool during our travels and David the father invited Ian and I to join in with his family (John, Elizabeth and Andrew) in Marco, Polo.   Ian chose to continue his visit with Liz and her daughter Karli from Tampa in broader life discussions. They traveled from Tampa to Washington, DC and museums to Grandfather Mountain & Linville Falls and on to Franklin, NC today on their return to Tampa.  Liz’s son, now 17 and his father were chilling in the room watching a bit of TV.  Sports, I believe.

Karli joined in the game of Marco polo after bit. She and Ian had good deal in common (Karli 12 and Ian 11.5); both love similar things. Karli is considering being a chemist. This certainly is in line with Ian’s great skill in developing neat fireworks.
