Reflections

During the years leading up to this moment I’ve been passionate about much in life and still am.  Family, our love for each other, our love for God, more importantly His love for us as it is God himself that has created all and all that is within.  I find it truly amazing that our creator has given us the choice to love, to become, to simply be and to do as we choose.   If you and I were creating, would we be so thoughtful?  Many more questions than answers.  One question looms for me and possibly for you as well.  Should we ask more and tell less?

“Ask, Don’t Tell” is birthed from this question and life expereince.  The book that I’m writing is “Ask, Don’t Tell”.  Chapters will appear in the blog posts as they are created.  Hope you find reflective value as mirrors of light shine.

While on a call with my dear friend Tom Aluise some months back we talked about giving back in some small way to our world to help others along life’s passages.  From that time I began to assimilate and write thoughts of what in the world was within me that may help others others who have encouraged me. Then the dawning occurred. “Ask, Don’t Tell.”  We’ve been so embroiled in life in telling others what we think, how they should think or what they should do.  Would it be better to ask vs. telling.  Asking opens doors, opens hearts and reveals truths. Telling is helpful in cummunicating and teaching, certainly.  Maybe if we followed Praeto’s principle in application; 80 per cent asking, 20 per cent telling may be more revealing, more inspiring, more inspired.  So… events continue and the book continues and hopefully lives will be changed for the better.  My life certainly is changing. My Godly passion is adding value at every touch point.  I continue to seek Godly direction as I grow in His likeness.  Moment by moment.  Amen.
