Worlds Best Wild Chicken Wings

16 July 2009 No Comment

Wild Wings are so much like Gold.  When you find the world’s best, it’s golden.  This week our grandson Ian and I were traveling in Western NC in the town of Marion.  On the way to dig for petrified wood in Curtis Creek off of Highway 70 in the Pisgah National Forest, we came upon this Exxon station and pulled in for ice.  When inside I saw these incredible wings.  The world renouned chef extraordinaire, Kathy Robinson ws in the kitchen at 5:15 this morning preparing the wings that people from all over the world come to eat.  Her recipe, her windgs.  Spicy, but noo too spicy.  Cooked to perfection.

Kathy sold me those wings for $3.79 for 6.  I hustled to the truck and opened the bag.  That was it!  Ian and I ate them all around 10:30 this morning.  Ran back in and bought 6 more and then we headed to Curtis Creek and found so many petrified rocks and more on that later.  The big one that almost got away…but we sanked it out of the creek with a 3000 pound test line and got ‘er in the turck.  It’s sitting out back right now.  WOW, what a day!!!

What a great day and it was a day in the peasceful forest that God himself has created.  As beautiful and you.

Blessings,

Brother Ben

PS  Did I mention the chicken wing place.  It’s Shuford’s on highway 70 just south and west of Marion, NC  Their phone number is 828.724.9407.  Ask for Kathy.
